Overview
Cannonball Bed with Turned Spindles
The Mathiston Cannonball Bed brings the ornate character of traditional American furniture into the bedroom with an impressive mix of curves, turnings, and solid hardwood craftsmanship. Its headboard features a broad arched crown accented by open spindle work, while the coordinating footboard creates an even more dramatic focal point with layered, sweeping hardwood rails.Turned spindles fill the open center of the footboard, adding visual detail without overwhelming the substantial design. At each corner, tall posts are shaped with decorative turnings and topped with classic cannonball finials, reinforcing the bed's heirloom-inspired aesthetic. Shown in Rustic Cherry, each bed is Amish handcrafted from solid American hardwood and made to order. Select from available wood species and stain options to create a look ranging from richly traditional to more relaxed and transitional.

Lovely Bed
We couldn't be more delighted with our Cannonball bed from Countryside Amish Furniture. The process from ordering, getting finish samples, and delivery was professional and courteous and as advertised. The bed itself is beautifully constructed, just the right height and solid-the finish is so beautiful. Truly a piece of furniture for generations to come.
Beautiful
The quality of this bed is great and it has so much storage. It doesn’t require a box spring and we are really enjoying that it’s not too high in consequence. Just a great purchase.
Awesome bed frame!
We bought the king size bed frame as an upgrade from a previous queen sized IKEA bed frame and wanted to match the frame to a hardwood dresser and night table that I already owned, but the previous company had gone out of business years ago. Countryside Amish was very accommodating and let us order more wood samples than usual so that we could try and match the wood type and stain to my current furniture. We ended up finding a near-perfect match and ordered the bed and one matching night table and a chest of drawers for my husband. The workmanship is lovely, the bed frame feels incredibly sturdy, and all the drawers are soft-close and smooth inside so you can put bed linens in them without snagging! We're very happy with this purchase.
Absolutely love this bed and all their furniture
We bought this bed along with the crofton nightstands and dresser and we absolutely love them. You have to wait awhile for your furniture, but it's 100% worth it. I don't think you can get this level quality anywhere else for the price. It's heavy and beautiful oak, and our Winter Bark stain looks fabulous. THey moved it in and installed everything for us and we honestly couldn't be happier. We hope to continue using this company in the future
Fantastic piece of furniture!
The bed arrived as scheduled and was set up by a professional. It is beautifully made. The wood stain perfectly matched the sample I selected.

Thank You
We are enjoying our furniture in our new lake home. It perfectly fits our style of rustic elegance. It is well constructed and will be enjoyed for many generations. Thank you for providing a very high quality product.
Incredible!
We just received the furniture, it was delivered and set up in the home. The bed frame is incredible. We have an adjustable bed and they made the frame to go right around the base. The wood is beautiful and heavy. We love it.
Beautiful bed
The bed is out of this world! It's beautiful and solid wood. We love it!
Excellent Craftsmanship
My husband and I purchased the entire Alpine Bedroom set (King bed frame, dresser with mirror, two nightstands, and chest) shortly after our honeymoon in 2017. It's been three years now and we've survived a big move to Germany this summer and still, we are commenting on how this was the best purchase of furniture we've made! Being a surgeon who also is highly skilled and knowledgeable in woodworking himself, my husband is thoroughly impressed by the quality, design, and superior craftsmanship of the furniture. You just can't find this kind of quality and work in a regular furniture store!
